It should be neat to see how they accomplish creating a better Enzo with better fuel mileage and with a V8.

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.-Anatole France

Believe the launch will be late next year with deliveries in 2011.

3 To 1

With a projected horsepower rating of 700 plus and an estimated curb weight of 2,200 lbs, that is roughly a 3 to 1 , lbs per horsepower rating, conversely what is the horsepower to weight ratio of the Enzo?, Also trying to extract over 700 plus horsepower from 5 liters (300 cubic inch) does not bode well in terms of longevity for that power plant. Imagine how "Stuffed" that engine bay will be, One last thought...Isn't associating fuel economy with a "Super Car", an OXYMORON???!!!. Mark.

I like the artist impression, esp the rear end. I was never a huge fan of the original Enzo's styling. Keen to know what it's vital stats and lap times are.

I think the Koenigsegg delivers 850+ BHP from a 4.7 litre twin supercharged V8 and tops out at 245+ MPH. It will be interesting to see how this compares. I don't know if longivity of the engine will be an issue to anyone who can afford a million plus for a car, and lets face it most of them will be tucked away for months on end and only clock up 20K miles in the next 20 years, I don't think many will ever go over 100K miles

I think you're being wildly optimistic there, Archie.

I would tend to agree with Mr. Gibbs. We are seeing plenty of F40s with more than 20k miles/35k km coming up for sale and a I have seen several F50s with close to 30k km on the dials. A significant percentage of the buyers actually do use the cars.

I wonder if some dealers will sell this as they did the Enzo by taking one check for the $660K and another for $400K to the dealer personally!

Yes that did happen and I have a copy of the lawsuit that brought it out in the open!

I am sure some will try. I am sure Ferrari SpA will try to control it as closely as possible.

I really doubt that the successor of Enzo will be anything but 12 cylinders, and I am sure there will be no supercharged engine. Ferrari made it clear – they are the best in creating naturally aspired engines with long longevity.

And of course Ferrari will take full control of the sales. The successor of Enzo is not a regular Ferrari, everything should be perfect by the time of his presentation.

I heard from an "insider" that the next supercar will be powered by a V8 with turbos. This way they can get big power, better fuel economy, and reduce costs somewhat. It's VERY expensive to get big horsepower and reliability from a naturally aspirated engine. The Enzo's V12 is truly an amazing engine. But times they are a changin...

Believe they will be approaching potential buyers next year with the official launch and first deliveries in 2011.
