Leather Care

Hope all is well with fellow Ferrari Life members and the ones they hold dear. I would like to know what product/products are best to us on Ferrari leather seats and dashes, I don't believe it's model specific, but if it is, my inquiry is in regards to a 1991 Testarossa. Thanks to all...Mark

Leatherique seems to float to the top of good claims, but it's very expensive.

Earlier leathers can do well with a good cleaning from Saddle Soap or Lexol products. Then there are plenty of appliques from then- Lexol, Maguiars, etc.

I use Maguiar's gold class leather covering inmy cars, and it's fantastic. It keeps the leather soft, supple, and deep in rich color.

There are others and members will chime in here of course.

However, in the earlier cars you need to use a very good cleaner first.

I use the AutoGlym line of products. Very happy with the results.

Elephant Fat, Elephant Fat

If you have worn side bolsters its perfect for moisturising the leather and smoothign out the surface.

After cleanign many a car when i was young for extra cash I ahve tried wide range of stuff. depends what you're after. Autoglym fine, I now use Swissvax (although only on my own as pretty expensive).

Their leather care kit is very good. All the products are natural , no chemicals or similar. Leather milk v good for moisturing, without leaving a sheen/ any glossy. oily residue that most propducts leave. this kit has the elephant fat (thats its name, don;t think it is actually what it says on the tin).

Their cleaner works brilliantly on the scuffs on my 550 door leather (cream).

Smells nice too!
