Alex- Do you have 433 Mhz fobs to clone? Or 315 Mhz fobs for that matter? Did not know you had that capability.

Hello Gcalo -

Since four years have passed since this last post I must ask if you are still programming the Porsche black remotes using the original F550 black alarm remotes? Thanks.

Troyce- Welcome to Ferrari Life. There are three current fob cloners including Alex. That makes one in the US Midwest, one in the South of France, and one in Canada. Let me know which one interests you and I will send you contact information.

Plus, there is a group in Australia that can pull the PIN from your Alarm ECU or red fob and build new sets of fobs.

I do the occasional fob cloning too, but I don't wish to compete with anyone and I don't keep any stock of clones-to-be. One guy covering the US, one for Canada, and one for Europe is probably enough.

Sure do.

I actually have 4 fobs (one clone is embedded for my remote trunk opener)

A key fob is a type of security token: a small hardware device with built-in authentication mechanisms.

Anthony- No, it is not. In the case of the 3 fob alarm system, the fobs are like garage door openers, except the master fob contains a PIN to program the alarm ECU to accept a new set of fobs. All the brains are in the Alarm ECU and the fobs are simple tranmitters containing simple EEPROMs with garage door opener type rolling codes.

Hi TazandJan
You mentioned you may have details of someone who could help in Europe?
I purchased my 360 some 5 years ago. At the time the dealer provided 2 silver keys and 1 black fob. We tried to obtain the others from the previous owner who claimed he no longer had them.
It hasn't been an issue to date, but of course if there is an easy solution I'd like to have a spare fob.
Many thanks in advance.
Karl.

My 612 came with only 1 Key that was partially working.

A new key was $700 + Labor, and the Ferrari dealer had a hell of a time programming the new key to work correctly.

So, replacement keys for modern Ferraris are probably going to run you around $1000 USD total.

My recent purchase of 575M SA came with two keys and one black FOB.

I asked the shop how to order new set of keys and FOBs. The manager was nice enough to order new set via Cornes from Ferrari (Italy) and this took around three weeks.

Checked the invoice and here's the breakdown:

1. Handling & Labor 22680 Jp yen
2. Remote Control Set 100397 "
3. PIN # Request 50677 "

total cost 173,754 Jp yen which is about US$ 1432.00 !!!

Crazy charges, IMHO. Probably, I am the one that is not up to the reality.

Jimmy- About the same here in the States if you go that route. Did the dealer pay for that or did you?

Now you are set, though. I even write the Alarm PIN in the warranty book to make sure it does not get lost.

Terry, lucky me, Bingo Sports went out of their ways and covered all of the costs, along with the brake hoses replacement, new set of Pirelli tires, new window modulators, maintenance services, new battery, along with the labor costs. I think the total came to around $10k....

Terry, indeed. Never had a service like this before. Too good to be true (?). As stated earlier, new set of keys/fobs alone was over $1400. The service maintenances by Cornes was about $5000 all in. Got the invoices too. All in all, this SA buy was a great deal. Now I just have to get used to this high tech machine. :steering wheel:

Jimmy,
you're very lucky,in italy this situation is pure dream ....
I spent 1500 euro three years ago for three fobs one key and recodification ECU because the PIN not was correct, crazy situation due to the 550 private dealer that not have informed me about the real things 6 year before ..... !!!
Apparently my HGTC have all keys and fobs ok.....

Fabio, I hear you. I must say I was lucky this time.

Sorry to hear your story. I would have thought that the price would be a bit more reasonable for you being in Italy and so close to Ferrari. I suppose prices are crazy for everyone.
