Ferrari uses the ILCO X152 FR46 blank. They are available at most key shops. Sames as ALFA, FIAT, etc.

So keys are not the issue. They are abundant everywhere.

If you are you concerned about the remote, I will be able to program those but since you have only one, that's very risk to ship that in the event it gets lost! If so, you would be unable to start your car!

Gcalo - you are dead right. Its a big risk. If it weren't then fob + blank fob would be on its way to you already.

Thats why I posed the query in an open fashion hoping that maybe someone in the UK does what you do.

I'll let it run a bit. If no joy then I will PM you and see if there is a low risk way

Any one who owns any of this series is nuts not to have my cooler!
It's all designed and done and ready for distribution about mid-Sept so thank you for the advice of your S.I.L.
It took a while to do, however.

Does Setrab make a comparable "Tube Oil Cooler, TOC" unit?

I have a 2004 CS with one key and one red remote that works, 2 black remotes that are not programmed to work on this car. Can you help get the 2 black remotes to work on my car from the red remote? I will order the 'souvenier' Enzo key tomorrow.

Thank you

Oz I have been buried on a few odd projects the past year that have really required considerable involvement.

I'll try to be more active here now that i have a bit more time.

SV- Welcome to Ferrari Life. Greg can clone your two black fobs from your red fob. There is no difference between a black fob and a red fob except the color of the plastic. All the hardware is identical. The EEPROM on the red fob has the Alarm PIN on it, but that PIN in the fob is never used again after the Alarm ECU was programmed to accept the matched set of three fobs.

If you read this document, it will explain how the fobs work and what your options are. Guess I should put it in the knowledge section below, too.

Terry

There is a slight difference in the red/black fobs in one IC.

I have not done the cloning in a long while because I have been busy, but when able I can again check this.

Greg- Eric and I have been cloning reds to blacks and making new reds from black fobs with no problems.

I know two other cloners since I do not do it myself, Eric in France and one in the upper midwest if anybody needs one cloned. I can PM the contact info.

I just sold my seventh set of three matched fobs with new PIN. Eric in France builds the sets for me. So far we are 100% successful on the owner being able to program the ECU to accept the new sets. If they can start the car with PIN and key alone, they can program the ECU to accept the new set. That was my last set until the owners send me their old fobs so I can make another set. Eric and I do not do it for money and only charge enough to break even.

I knew you had stopped cloning a while back when things got busy. Good to see you back.

I have been trying to overcome a huge loss I took. I should have invested in Madoff. At least I would have had a better story to tell!

Good going with the fobs. That is outstanding work.

I'm one of the ones that benefited from Eric and Terry's work. I sold the 355 with a cloned set (one original fob went through the washing machine ) but I wanted the new owner to have the proper set up.

We finally got the ECU to go into programming mode after a couple months trying (not Terry's fault, we were not keying the PIN in correctly ) and now all three fobs work just like new.

Many thanks to Terry and Eric for what they do.

BTW Terry, the old fobs and PIN were mailed Jan.2nd you should have them shortly.

Dave- Thanks, and nobody else will get the deal you did. My visor earned you a lot of browny points.

Greg- I know what you mean. The crash and the IRS nailed just about all my savings in 08/09. If I had not bought the 575M when I did, I would still be driving a Z06.

Well fortunately, Terry, I have some very good options but dealing in nickles and dimes is a far cry from dealing in very big dollars!

So it's turning but not as fast as I'd like. Just have to deal with it a bit longer.
