OK...I'm back...sorta

Sorry friends,

Life has been extremely hectic recently. Mostly good news...I'm busy as hell. To much work, not enough time, good for the cash flow, bad for the soul. I have been checking in regularly but not posting as I should. A few housekeeping items:

Lots of new faces in the forum. To those I have not yet had the pleasure...A big Hello and welcome. Hope you stay around for a while. The poking and proding will commence soon.

Stile - I put you first because I feel terrible about missing your moment. A huge congrats on the culmination of your efforts...well done. Perhaps I can partake of your knowledge someday. I live in the world of ASME.

Andrew - Sorry to hear about your woes. I've got a single cousin in Sacramento...you interested? ahhh, but then, she's a vette driver.

Pete - Singapore huh...I suppose a "cool" is due but then it sounds like you'll be scuttling the Discoverer Enterprise for this new hull...Is it a good thing, or do I missunderstand?

Arch - With Pete gone you must be busy batting away potential R.A.P.E. vict...uhhh....customers. Hope all is well. keep the bobbie's away.

Boxer - I watched a repeat of top gear yesterday when Clarkson and the boys were searching for the perfect stretch of road. I don't know exactly why, I thought of you immediately. Imagined your ripping around in the F40

Night - Why'd you change your avatar? I gonna miss Twila. Is she your wife yet? as for the other lady in your life, Congrats on tomorrows receipt. Your gonna love her.

355F1Fun - you seem to be fitting in quite nicely...its an absolute pleasure to get the womans perspective around here. Regarding the missing cat calls, well....lets just leave that one alone for now.

Where's Mario and Al? They seem quiet...(like me)

I'm still real busy but look forward to being a contributing member again very soon. Spring will be the force that gets me all the way back.

I raise a glass in honor of all of you...my friends

Welcome back Lane. I'm looking forward to spring myself and getting the Ferrari out of the garage and back out into the sunshine and warm weather.

For the ship, yeah, I am no longer Captain of the Enterprise. I am now Captain of the Phoenix. It was cool when people ask you what you do for a living and being able to tell them that you are the Captain of the Enterprise. However, this new company that I am with was offering much better compensation for my knowledge and expertise. When it comes to cash, the coolness factor only goes so far.

I'm guessing she will be outfitted with all the latest gadgets. Microsoft going to be visiting to develope the new video game "Drill shipm wars" where some crazy old salts race for the lastest find.

The reason I changed my avatar is that there is a adult site advertising with Twilas picture and it kind of freaked me out I'm sure they didn't get it from her but still it's pretty bad a lot of my friends and associates have seen the advertisement it just has that same photo and as soon as you click on it takes you to a porn site not cool.

And thank you I wont sleep a wink tonight I'm jumping out of my skin it arrives at 10 am.

Lane, Good to have you back. I also saw that episode and it is quite inspiring. Somehow I need to find the time to do an epic trip in both the F40 and F50 this year. Cheers, Boxer

Lane, I'll forgive you, although your humor has been missed over the last few weeks. Don't overdo the work thing, you need the spare time to drive your Ferrari and check out the world of FL.

Thank you very much, Lane! Tonight is the ceremony when I'll formally become an engineer (but I had to get the diploma before it or I would miss the timing for the new job), so you never missed the moment, you're right on time!

Great to know that your good and alive, just a bit too busy making money! hehehehehe

Jeeez stile...you make it sound like a circumcision or something...you don't have to pierce anything do ya?

Night...I understand. My guess is your rubbing her right now. (am i talking about twila or the mistress...you decide)

Boxer...Oh how I would love to cruise the roads depicted on that episode. Life changing. Gotta get my 348 to Europe somehow. Failing that, a nice rocky mountain cruise in Yosemite or Yellowstone. I guess I'll have to settle for the Berkshires. More specifically, Limerock. ( www.limerock.com )

Arch...overdoing the work thing is not a choice here. I own an LLC and my reputation has accellerated the client list. I'm at a cross road in the sense that I can either keep the business sized as present or grow. Both have there benefits and both suck.

Hey Lane,

Welcome back…yeah I have been very quiet and glad you haven’t forgotten me…I guess being the black sheep has its benefits….lol

I have had a few curves thrown at me in the last few months (on a personal level) and could force me to wait more than just next summer for my Fcar. One of them im happy about but was not expecting it and announcing it may hurt someone I like and it would bother me that it would do that. As well this has made me lower the amount I would have to purchase one meaning not a 348, instead probably a 308 or 328. Nothing wrong with those cars but I had my heart set on the 348. So im thinking possibly a 328 this summer or wait 2-3 more years for a 348. I have waited 2 years already and pushed it because of “it would be nice” type of renovations.

So to kind of remove the discouragement, I have not surfed and visited the site regularly to not activate the deep “want” of having an Fcar.

Anyways, welcome back!

Mario

The 328 is an excellent Ferrari and pushes all the right Ferrari buttons. It is also not a car that will not depreciate. Go for it this summer and then trade it for the 348 when the right time comes.

No, I'll be working in Brunei and Malaysia instead of the Gulf of Mexico. Work will be month on - month off. Here's some photos of some of the "latest gadgets" to be installed on the bridge.

Have you been to Brunei ? It is worth a visit.

Those waters can be quite dangerous, what type of defense does the ship carry ?

Never said the 328 wasn’t worthy, I was just looking forward to a 348. I will wait a few months to think about it instead of making a mistake based on emotions instead of logic.

Pete, is that the bridge?
