brake failure light???

hey everyone. every so often the brake failure light in the 308 will come on and stay on for a few minutes and go out. i have checked the fluid and it is clear and full. brakes stop with plenty of force and the peddle never feels mushy. also the calipers are not leaking. so what is this light connected to? a sensor? do these crap out often? thanx for the help. joe

Joe,
Same thing happened on my car. Turned out to be a bad electrical connection on the master cylinder. When you open the front lid, the master cylinder is on the passenger side. The connections are "bullet" style connectors. I had to replace those.

Joe,
You can get the connector at any auto parts store.
