F40 LM vs 512 BB LM

FYI: the 512 BB LM has 500 bhp and 1400 kg, while the F40 LM has 720 bhp and 1050 kg, so I guess the difference is that thing between the steering wheel and the seat

does anyone know what car is it that passes both in the end?

for more info about the 512 BB LM, visit http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/1...512-BB-LM.html

and for more about the F40 LM, http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/6...ri-F40-LM.html

am I the only one that thinks the "normal" F40 looks better than the LM?

The F40 LM is a much quicker car. Both however are more than fast enough to scare the ***** out of anyone.

Great footage! Thanks Stile-Alpine. I think it is a 1975 Alfa Romeo tt(?) sc(?) that passes the duelling horses at the end. I think that the Alfa won the sportscar title in 1975 and was powered by a 3 litre, flat 12 weighing in at about 540kg, so even quicker than the F40 LM! And the sound of the Ferrari Boxer LM? Pure music!

Wow, you're good at this, Vitalone! hehehehehe

I'm impressed, it really is an Alfa Romeo TT (TT = Telaio Tubolare, tubular chassis), but I can't tell if you got the year right. Is the entire name Alfa Romeo 33 TT12?

The power/weight ratio of that car is simply AMAZING, it is almost like a motorcycle! And some people ask why I prefer turbocharged engines......

You can see some amazing pictures of the event here

Really great!

Nice footage but not exactly LM speeds they are doing, is it? The Alfa driver tries, at least.

Yeah, I guess they were taking it easy. Even the Alfa, I don't think he was even close to top performance of the car, it's just that it can do so much more than the LMs!

But you have to consider how expensive the cars are, and they were not racing, it is just an event to get all those Italian beauties together.
