Dash Repair

Any advice where to go in Southern California to replace the leather dash from shrinkage problem?

But seriously, I've heard you should use vinyl on the dash instead of leather for that very reason, is that correct? Anyone??

One of the 512BB CA owners had the same issue. If you run a search, the post should come up. I think he found a place near LA.

Yup... shrinkage. I spoke to Castanza and he said don't put vinyl on a Ferrari.

I agree, there's no way my Ferrari see's Vinyl except on the Fords it passes. I heard someplace that the lighter grades of leather have a much higher elasticity ratio making them better for the dash applications. Might be real cool to have Ostrich or Buckskin and altough Alligator would also be cool, I don't think its real resilient. Check with your local proffesional when you find one.
