Becker 6111/6112 Question

Does anyone know the difference between the two models?
I've seen an owners manual for the 6111 and it specifies it's for that model inside the front cover.
However, I can't seem to find if the 6112 manual has the same info.
Also, when did the 430 upgrade from the 6105 to the 6112?

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

These folks are a great resource for Becker. Perhaps they would know...?

Thanks David.

I believe I got 80% of the correct answer from them, but wanted to fill in the blanks.
They claim there is no difference between the two models and that they use the same manual.

However, all manuals either say 6111 or they do not specify a model.
I'm guessing the non-specific ones are for the later 6112.
BAS couldn't say.

No clue, I'm sorry to say...
Maybe one is branded with the "Ferrari" script on key up where the other model displays "Porsche..."
A great question for Taz, I suspect.

So, did you get your 456? Post em up!

David,

I was hoping to find a 6105 but after six months I gave up.
Beckerautosound sell a "replacement", but in speaking with them, it's just a 6105 shell that they've put new electronics in.

So I bought a 6112 that came out of a 2009 430.
It shows the proper Ferrari script on power-up.
And it has the little Ferrari nameplate at the bottom-center of the face.

To answer your other question, yes!
My new (to me) 456M GTA was delivered on Saturday.
I'll post pictures of it in a separate thread following City Dock C&C this weekend.
I got it so I'd have a place to mount the 6112....

But here's a teaser:

Great looking color/color combo...
I service quite a few of these cars, so if something comes up...drop me a note.

I find the 456 an amazing car to drive, with incredible low end grunt. My biggest complaint is the overly assisted power steering. Perhaps John Cribb can hook you up with one of his trick steering ECUs. We have one in our 550 and it make a significant difference in the way the steering feels. The 456 system is virtually identical....
