Fabio, is that you? I have a little trouble translating about Luca, but here is what I posted on the "other" site two days ago:

Now we see confirmation of the "Sweater's" real reason for the Ferrari spin-off. Marchione had FIATChrysler lay on Ferrari N.V. debt amounting to billions of Euros for FIAT's benefit; so Ferrari N.V. has to take on 2.5 billion Euros of corporate debt to pay off its loving former parent's loan. New Ferrari shareholders take on that burden. I wouldn't go near the shares of the Company, its legend and its automobiles that I've loved for over sixty years.

Montezemolo is trying to position Ferrari as a luxury brand. The problem is no one is rushing out to be Ferrari jackets other accessories whereas Hermes, that is a different story. The valuation of the Ferrari stock is already much higher than than other luxury brands. How will Ferrari keep the stock valuations up? My words of an article I read on this.
If you look at the chart you can see the euphoria has worn off and that smart money has locked in its profits.

I have two shares more as a novelty than anything else.
I figure they will depreciate like my Spider.
One thing they are not; An investment.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

P.S. the Sweater's three-card monte game of spinning off Ferrari to raise capital for FIATChrysler's expansion game-plan, via this devious charade of burdening new Ferrari shareholders with debt for FIAT's benefit, is exactly why Luca took a walk. He didn't wish to be any part of such a ruse that would burden and possibly cripple his beloved Ferrari. We shall see how this plays out over the next two to three years.

Hey, EFG, Montezemolo is gone; Sergio Marchione is now running things.

Hi Seth,
i not seen you post ...sorry
is the same history ...
personally i think Marchionne started the decline of the brand ... not immediately ... but in the long time ....
Probably he have reason because his gain is infinite ... and from more years, I, he and us we not will live in this earth ....
This strategies i think is bad for the last used cars but good for the old car, cars of era before Marchionne when the numbers was not so big ...
For the other side Marchone is not an engineer or an enthusiast of cars .. he is an economist and the old Latin people usually tell:
"Pecunia non olet" or "Money has no smell" ....

Fabio, it is worse, he is not an economist, he is as you say, ragioniere or contabile
