488 GTB in Cape Town

Following up on one of my other posts on the forum, here are some more pics snapped by local car spotter Menikmati Photography who recently saw the 488 GTB here in South Africa down in Cape Town - it's apparently carrying out certain heat tests.

Cool, thanks for sharing. It's funny how some pictures give a car a different look. I actually like it in these and have not in others.

I like the front, looks like an angry shark.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

Looks much better in this colour than the Geneva Shows launch colours, much better looking than a 458 Italia & just a few tweaks off the 458 Speciale.

Yesterday's history, tomorrow's a mystery, today's a gift.....enjoy every minute!

If it is intended to be a 458 variant, then I think it is great.

If it is a new model, then I think it has way to much 458 in it for me. I would prefer a departure from the old to a new shape like the new Ford GT.

David its an evolution model, such as 308 to 328, 348 to 355, 360 to 430 & now 458 to 488. The next V8 2 seater will be a new model design, if Ferrari's stick to their usual development path.

I don't know - I'm still not a fan of those rear intakes.

Maybe I need to see it in person, before final judgement.

I like the 488 better than the 458; specifically the front nose and the rear air intakes. However, i'm not a fan of turbos in the Ferrari engines. Its simply sounds cooler to have lots of horses without the aid of turbos.

488 could and should produce 700 hp.

Would like to see them address the air blocking blob of a mirror - Pagani Stradale Scuderia.
