Newbie!

hey people.. hows it goin? just comin in to say hey.. i am really looking forward to getting to know most of you here! some gorgeous rides, i must admit..

hope Maserati drivers are welcome on this ferrari forum, (since the Maserati Forum is always dead, i had no other choice to be honest! lol)

anyway, cutting to the chase, here are some pix of my 2 prize possessions!

Hoping to either get a 612 Scaglietti next year, or might just wait for the new V12 Quattroporte (still a rumour tho) and trade up... I might even go back to German and get a RUF 997 RT12 ...but the Italian Stallion for some reason sounds more tempting!

You are sure welcome. I think this forum is genuinely for Ferrari enthusiasts. I own a Dodge, but I still am pretty active here. I hope to get a Ferrari one day!

Love the cars man. I have always been a Maserati fan, and the M looks great too! :green:

Welcome to the site. Everyone is always welcome here. Really like both your cars. I also have a "M" machine but in my case it is a M5.

Welcome! Enjoy your stay and that is a nice stable you've got there.

I do like the silver but I'd love to see that Mas in RED! That would be sweet.

Thanks guys for ur warm welcome and thanks for all the amazin compliments on my babies!

Pete - the Maser is actually the same colour as found on many Ferrari's... its Baby Blue Metallic and not silver.. lol..but they look very similar i admit.. got the interior to kinda match it.. didnt fancy that wood crap.. this is a supersedan and i wanted to keep it that way! hehe...

do u Ferrari owners have wobbly gear changes as well? the Maser is a bit strange with that.. my M3's SMG system works so smoothly..but the Maser has these powerful gear changes that make the car wobble and the rpm wobbles with it... but hey, it sounds like a Modena on the outside and like a 355 on the inside! hehe.. so i aint complainin'...
oh and also, my analogue clock once went crazy for about 20 seconds spinning outa control, but then stopped again at the correct time! haha.. any explanation? I realise it's Italian after all.. and hand built so u gotta expect some probs.. :green:

No. The shifting of gears on my '79 308 are very smooth and predictable. I can readily change gears up or down and it is a seamless transition.

actually yeh u guys on ur MT's have smoother shifting than my F1-style gearing on the Maser... but from wat i remember from my experiences behind the wheel of an 80's Ferrari 412, the clutch was heavy as hell and the gear stick was quite stubborn... but all in all it worked out... so long as u can see the road ahead from ur side window, u know the car is workin juuust fine! hehe..

I used to have both a F355 and a 456 GT. Both had very smooth and percise gearboxes. No wobbles at any time.
