Has anybody visited the Ferrari factory?

I will be going to Italy in December.
Has anyone visited the factory in Maranello outside Modena? How does one arrange a tour of the factory
I welcome any comments

Factory tours are arranged either by the official Ferrari Owners Clubs or Ferrari Dealers.

You can also check the Ferrari Owners Website for the schedule:

Organise it through your local dealer. I went in 2001(Sep 11 in fact) and at that stage the factory wanted proof of ownership. Don't know if it is different now. Amazing experience and well worth the effort(although a bit dissapointed I couldn't take pics inside). Galleria Ferrari museum nearby always has interesting cars. Lunch at cavallino restaurant across the road was good too

arranged

I managed to arrange a tour in December
just to let everyone know, the assembly line it not open for tours, so they are giving a modified tour in December; I guess it is undergoing updates or renovations.
Anybody have suggestions for other places to visit in Maranello or Modena?

The town itself is very interesting (Modena)

The architecture and such, I'm sure just by walking around you will find nice places 8)

The Galleria, Fiorano, Toni Auto, the shops, Carozzeria Scaglietti etc.

Arranged a factory visit through the Ferrari Club (1997), Shell (2004, won a contest) and a journalist friend (2005).
