Fantastic documentary. Bit irritating that the engine sound doesn't match the pics at the start but that is nitpicking.

BTW - F40 owners, the sound at the start of the doc doesn't sound like I remember. I don't hear the turbo's whistling, and it sounds much rawer. Any ideas what the sound is? Not a standard F40 I would say, but my experience with them from inside the cabin is limited.

The very first sound in the first 3 seconds when the name of the filmmaker shows up is definitively not a F40. However as the camera is in the cockpit and shows the driver the first time around...that is definitively F40 sound, probably a Tubi or even open exhaust recorded at the end of the exhaust/outside maybe.

As a general preference, I like aspirated engines more. The F40 however, is THE BIG exception. I absolutely love and admire the F40!!!! According to race car drivers, you really must be a good driver and completely switched on, to make the F40 shine and win on a track. To me, this sounds so appealing and exciting. What a mythical car!

This film is indeed very nice.

One F40 in the vid has a Modena-Motor-Sport exhaust (newer seen before and looks like a Tubi, so maybe a rebranded Tubi...), but both have wrong exhausts.

Nice video!

I've seen half a dozen F40's but have never heard one or seen one moving. One of these days I will. Great video. Thanks.

David.
