OK, this is going to hurt like hell, but it has to be done..

I don't want to go into the details here, but unfortunately I had to follow my friend Jimmy's route and make a very hard decision.

Very reluctantly (highly understated) we're putting our beautiful 550 Blackbird up for sale.

Many of you know me and the car, for those who don't, here are some pics and details.

She's in great condition, a drivers car, no garage queen. Never used on track. Full owner history.
During my ownership she has been maintained, no expenses spared, by a very well known Ferrari specialist in the Netherlands where the car can be inspected by appointment. 19 inch Ferrari Split rims ( Superamerica) with Michelin Pilot Sport 255-35ZR19 tyres (3500 km) Original rims come with the car.

Spent huge amount on carbon interior parts (MaCarbon USA) No more sticky interior parts. Leather dashboard without any shrinking in perfect condition.
New tinted windows and new front windscreen. Some small stone chips on the nose
Exterior color: Nero Interior: Black leather with red stitching, carbon racing seats with red alcantara inserts (Dino style) Leather roof lining, new floor mats by Alex with Ferrari logo.
All books, radio code, tools, keys and fobs and invoices. All Maranello issued updates/grades done (hoses, engine mounts and so on)
VIN: ZFFZR49B000119784 built: 05-2000 49K kilometers. 3rd owner from new.

Please PM me with any questions or requests for additional pics.

Forgot to mention: Tubi style exhausts, trickle charger and steel protection plate under the engine bay. No more problems when hitting small bumps on the road..

I'm sorry to hear that Jeroen. Your 550 is a great car have seen it often on our many Fled's. Going to upscale ? or no F-car at all anymore ?

Hi Jeroen, very sorry to hear that you are saying goodbye to your black beauty!
Hope this is temporary, as you expected, and we will hear all about your excitements of getting her replacement in the near future...

Jeroen- Good luck on the sale and hope you pick up a new one soon. You do have a lot invested in extras on her. If you still have the OEM wheels and tires, those 19" wheels are worth around $8K.

Jeroen- I can hook you up with someone from the UK looking for a set if they have the late fronts (210660). He just bought an HGTC 575M with black aftermarket wheels.

How can I check, Taz? Not sure what you mean by fronts...

Jeroen- The front wheel rims were machined out to fit the HGTC 6 piston calipers and 398 mm CCM rotors. The old wheel part number was 188475 and the new one is 210660. The number is cast on the back of the wheel. Visually, here is the difference. You can see the machined rim step to clear the caliper on the late wheel in this image.

Jeroen my friend, I am sorry to hear this.

You must know that you are indeed very welcome to Ticino whenever you want, for a spirited drive and a chat over a couple of aperitivos.

A peace-brother-hug for you!

Jeroen, for being mentioned I am beginning to wonder if I had negative influence to others. Nevertheless, for your own reasons at the moment, you made your decision, Respect. GLWS.

Hi Jeroen, found a nice shot from our "hundreds of miles run to meet for coffee" some year/s ago, so thought why not pop it up...these great cars bring us together but the memories are what really make us smile.
Cheers,
Michael

Great memories of that car - my Maranello and her met at the start of your time here, and we have had fantastic times on the FLED.

Really sad that she has to go, but these things happen and life is still wonderful.

If you ever feel the heart-ache, Nightbluebird is here for you to take a spin or borrow for the weekend, my friend.
