Record prices ?!

Checked the Rick Cole auction results from Monterey and found, that besides the General exponential price movements these days, 2 more common classics showed high paid Prices too:

365 BB No. 18625 was sold for USD 550'000
low mile Daytona No. 16943 was sold for USD 1'155'000

I can not remember having ever heard of such F-cars sold at those prices ?!

It reminds me to a old saying from the floor Operators at CME or NYSE that bull markets often tend to go far further than most would expect before the inevitable correction/collapse (i.e. for how Long are we expecting the correction now...3 years...5 years...7 years...yes it will come...but from where to where...? ;-)

My father always says you can never pay too much for a true Classic, you can only buy a little early

Wise man, your father...did he act accordingly (i.e. any classics in your family)?

Yes my dad has quite a few classic cars and motorbikes. He's not as much into the modern stuff.

Sounds like we should get to know him! Many of us here also own classic bikes. Where in Italy are you? I'm in Lugano.

I did not know where to put this video, it is EVO's with Harry Metcalfe in front of the cameras again, a really, really interesting showing of the cars that will be present on RM auctions on 8th September. Good to know is it will be livestreamed on EVO's youtube page
There are some quite interesting Ferraris that will go under the hammer in the video which might go for a lot of money, enjoy!

prices

I was looking at Hemmings Motor News a short while back,.and found that 308 and 328 prices have went up considerably. I had to up the agreed value of my car 20k , or else I would not be able to replace it if someone took me out..
