250gte stolen @ nurburgring

Dear all,

I received this distressing news today. Please keep your eyes open. We need to find this car! If you have any information, contact me or better yet of course your local police force.

In the night from Friday the 8th of August to Saturday, the Ferrari 250 GTE with serial number 2281 GT owned by German Ferrari friend Markus Bester was stolen in front of his Hotel near the Nurburgring racetrack during the AVD-Oldtimer- Grand Prix 2014 weekend.

The Ferrari 250 GTE has a very nice grey metallic exterior color and a crème beige leather interior (see pictures attached).

The Ferrari 250 GTE on German license plates H8 FH 88H, was sitting on a trailer with German license plates HB ZC 888 and has been stolen including the trailer (see picture below).

Please forward this e-mail to whom you believe can be of any help or should know about the situation, obviously with the ultimate aim in returning the Ferrari 250 GTE to the legitimate owner.

I can not believe this....and I'm very sorry to hear that. What a beautiful 250 GTE. Obviously he left the car outside. I remember that night terribly strong thunderstorms and a very dark night at the ring.
Has he planed to drive the car on the track or bring it to the Ferrari Club Germany gathering ?
I'm very sorry for this having a friend bymyself who's car (330 GT 2+2) has been stolen just in may this year near SPA, no positives there either as of today.
I slowly assume that there is a network of thieves europe wide building, specialised on such rare, classic cars.

This is terrible news. Let's hope it is found and the culprits apprehended.

I have a gps tracker in mine that phones me if the car moves or is lifted. I've had it for a couple of years now, so there are probably better versions available now. It was originally designed so trucking owners could keep track on their fleets.

David.

I understand the thieves got it by also taking the trailer that it was on, right in front of a hotel.

I'd guess it's on its way to the Emirates or other ME country.
