Headed to Maranello

My wife and I are in Italy for our honeymoon. We are heading to Maranello to stop by the museum and take a spin in a California (1 hour rental from Pushstart). Any recommendations on restaurants, attractions etc... would be greatly appreciated!!

agreed. would also head over to the lambo factory and the pagani factory. both within about 1/2 hour from there. don't forget the ferrari factory! Cavallino restaurant, and the ferrari store, of course Fiorano.

Thanks! We are scheduling Pagani now. Plan to visit Lamborghini museum but factory tours are not available at this time. And of course we are visiting the Ferrari factory and museum. Will post some pics when we return!

Antica Moka restaurant, one of the top five places we've eaten in all of Italy.

If you do the one-hour hill drive, do it early before there are many cars on the roads. Else, it can be very frustrating. A new option is the track session, where you drive to the track, take a few laps, then drive back.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

I would visit the Montana restaurant, be sure to book. Cavallino is also nice, especially for lunch. If you like pizza and have time, I can really recommend the ones in the restaurant of Hotel Domus at the village square.

The new Enzo museum in Modena is definitely worth your while.

Hi, Gambi
Those two restaurant are in Rubiera, 20 km from modena, they are very nice and characteristic of this land:
- "Osteria del viandante" have great meat (they are specialized on meat), they have infinity kind of wines, the place is an old home of a general and is like a castle, unique contraindication is expensive ...
- "Clinica Gastronomica" is in front of "Osteria D. V." and the kitchen is typically of Modena, their speciality is the "Bollito" (boiled meat) like my mother did at my home when i was young ....
Clinica G. is also a hotel with very nice rooms furnished in old style, i went on last february with a friend of FL and he was enthusiat.
Following the two web site.
I hope that are interesting for you.

Gambi, I don't know where you are from ... I think 550_Maranello knows best of me the area for restaurant.
I want to explain italian roads are not american roads, and don't think about the video you've seen in Tv program (they work with close road, usually).
In Italy there are a lot of car on street so follow the idea of Killer58, go early (or go track, if you want). Stay aware of the time, if it will rain it will be quite dangerous (or very funny, depends on the mood!).
And if you wanna see alps, make Stelvio pass or nearby, just ask.
Have a nice, nice, nice trip!
