parking lights won't go off

The parking lights in my 2001 550 won't go off.
I haven't been doing any work on the car so I am puzzled as to what's happening. Is there a timer or switch or a switch position etc. that I forgot about or that I changed the setting without realizing it?
thanks....Just waiting for the battery to go dead.

In the interim, pull the fuse or relay. Why not call a dealer to hear if there is any mystery setting you my have inadvertently triggered.

Im sure you have switched the lights on and off to see if the switch will work. Hate when lights stay on after key is out of ignition.

On the switch plate behind the shifter. Push the "P" button. That will turn out the parking lights...

Yep,,,,, sometimes in life the answer is right in front of me but I just don't see it... and all it takes is a helpful tip from a friend to solve what seems like a big problem.

My dog keeps turning on my parking lights when he rides with me.
The button gets a real workout.
