Jim- Never hurts to ask. They might still have one lying around taking up space.

Did they issue workshop manuals and parts catalogs for the P cars?

They did for the 512S but earlier stuff which we have is more log/book set up.

I am curious. What is the source cause that makes a header crack? (not just a faulty header)
Thanks

Phil- Heat, stress fractures, and vibration from the engine and its movement. Often exhaust mounts contribute if they are too stiff to allow for heat expansion and movement of the engine under changing torque loads.

Thanks Terry. Headers seem to be a frequent subject.

Phil- In the olden days with mild steel pipes and mufflers, water vapor would condense and accumulate in pipes and mufflers and rust them out, too, especially if the car was not driven enough to get the exhaust really hot. Now just about everything is stailess steel, so that is not an issue.

F430s have problems with headers and a good solution has been the Capristo mounts.
