Some Horses in Africa

Africa has many things, many of them undesirable but here in SA we have some superb scenery and some great open roads, not to mention some great wine farms. Though today, the Cape Ferrari Club went back to the essence of the Ferrari badge, yip we visited a stud farm/winery.

Great bunch of cars, mild mid winter weather. For me my favourite cars of the day were the 365 GT, simply stunning in that colour, the Dino and the 355, the scream of the V8 was just incredible.

In reality though all the cars were an event. Truly a day to appreciate.

Jacques- Great photos. I always liked the Queen Mother 365 GT 2+2 because it looks like a 500 Superfast, but drivers a whole lot nicer. Funky mirrors on the Dino, but probably more useful than the tiny originals also used on the Daytona.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

I like 365, such an elegant look and this one was really being driven today, 4 up and the horses weren't being spared. Was really a site to see. The size difference between the FF an the Dino is truly something to see too.

575 has really improved very nicely with age too, the design looks so right.

Very good and some are very quiet, some guys hit 150-160mph.

I must emphasize though that these are roads are way out in the country, not near any residential area.

Ed, i can assure you that SA's roads are excellent ! Definitively better than many, many roads in Europe, especially better than in the UK.
