SEFAC Concours

Hi All

I hope all is well.

Sunday is the annual SEFAC Concours at Montecasino.

I will be going through really early (around 8.00) as it is my daughter's birthday party at 10.00.

Will any of you South African FLifers be there?

Kind regards

Mike

Hi Mike, it was good seeing you again at the event.

The Ferrari that definitely got a lot of attention was the custom 348 based Fezzer as seen in the pics below.

Never got a chance to speak to the owner but apparently he built it himself. He also owns the Daytona that was there too as seen below.

Overall it was a great turnout of Ferraris and spectators being the biggest Show Day for SEFAC held at Montecasino.

Mike- Thanks for the photos. Very interesting Ferrari with 250P and 250 LM styling cues. Needs some wire wheels.

Thanks for the pics, brings back happy memories of SEFAC concours from the 1980's when Dad won a cup for his 365GT2+2 and the 1990's when I participated firstly with Dad's 365 and then 348 followed by my own Dino 246 and 512BB.

This year I believe there were some interesting tipos including 246, 512M and 365GTC. I wonder who designed and executed the body on the 348SP/LM?

Brought up my breakfast, I'm sorry to say. Let classics be classics and moderns be moderns.

Interesting concept. Not feeling the 348 wheels with spinners though. Looks better than some of the other Ferrari tributes I've seen. At least he's not trying to pass it off as a GTO or LM.

It's a simple process...... it's just complicated by human beings....

Couldn't have put it better myself. Sorry but it just doesn't look right. And the photo of the Daytona just emphasises this.

Best wishes, John

As far I know the Daytona and the other car is not owned by the same person at all. As for the other car, to me eyes the look isn't somewhat unfortunate, either go with 250P or go with 250 LM but a mix of both doesn't quite work, again to my eyes.

What is commendable is the car isn't fiberglass.
