cost of 308 GT

I have loved Ferraris since I was a child ( just like every other kid in the world lol). However, unlike most other people, my favourite Ferrari is the 308 GT.

I'm nearly out of Uni with a degree in mechanical engineering, and already have a job lined up that promises some pretty decent money. But regardless of that, how much money am I looking at to buy a 308 GT, including insurance, repair, fuel etc

I wouldn't say "unlike most people". The 308 series has a very strong following, so you're in good company.

As far as expense, its hard to say.... depends on the car (gts or berlinetta, steel or fiberglass, carb or injected, 2 valve or 4 valve)... where you buy it.... your driving record. There's a buyers guide on this site that you should take a good look at. As far as maintenance figure on about $2000 a year. Fuel? I dunno... when it get low I fill it up. Its a toy so I never really consider fuel cost. Don't let that be a factor... they all suck down gas.

Most important thing to remember is get a pre purchase inspection done (PPI) and buy the best car you can afford. There are no cheap Ferraris. You'll pay upfront or you'll pay later. Oh and be sure you have a line on a competent mechanic or you'll run the risk of draining your bank account and ruining the joy that comes with owning one of these rolling pieces of art.

Current: 85' GTS QV
It's a simple process...... it's just complicated by human beings....

If you mean a GT4 they are still relatively cheap, in the 20Ks, but insurance is going to be your problem.

Best wishes, John
