Capo will be proud

The sun was out this morning, the temps were heading toward 50F, roads were clear, and the next storm wasn't due until late tonight. So we took the Spider out for a quick run before she was stuck in the barn for another couple weeks.

Well, the rain arrived about 8 hours early and caught us at the half-way point. (the white stuff is left over snow)

On the way back, facing several hours of clean-up, Celeste kept wondering why I wasn't upset. I was so surprised she didnt melt, all I could say was; wait till all the F-Lifers see this.

I am full of admiration!

We had sunshine today and the sun melted away even up here on my alp. I went for a walk convinced to right after take a shower and pull out the 430 for a drive. But I got involved in an aperitivo with the neighbours which didn't end and that busted my driving plan completely. Such is life but spring is in fact around the corner and it's a matter of days to the next drive. The Dino was out a week ago though in a glimpse of sunshine so I'm not totally cold turkey.

Salve,

David- Mine is still dirty from the last rain we had here. Yours probably enjoyed getting her hair wet. Most females look better after getting caught in a rainstorm. At least the pretty ones do.

Way to go David.
Reminds me a little of a rather cold Italian Fled we once partook in.

Certainly did. But when the snow piled at the side of the road is higher than the car you are driving it's usually time to at the very least turn the Manettino from Race back to Sport....

Although, she'll have to sit dirty for a few days, we're not supposed to have temps above freezing until this weekend.

Barry, Neither me nor the Spider are worthy!
I had to have a cocktail and a lie down to get over the trauma of a little rain.

For long journeys the 612 is actually more comfortable than my Rolls Royce, believe it or not.

Hey Capo, that's exactly what I said when it started to rain!

I drove the TR to the shop last week during a light snowfall (I didn't need to use the wipers).

There wasn't any salt or pre-treatment on the roads and best of all, the car didn't melt!

You should have seen the looks on people's faces.

Many years ago I once went to collect our Christmas tree in my '29 R-R P1 tourer. Large (21") wheels with narrow section tyres and a big (7.7 litre) low revving engine were great for traction in slushy conditions as well as ground clearance and with the roof down there was loads of room for a 10' tree in the back (unfortunately no photo with tree on board, but you get the idea).
