430/458 Fender shield remove & replace.

Anyone know if changing these out is a simple D.I.Y?
Im curious if you can get to these from inside the bonnet, or if the fender has to acyually come off.

Any help would be appreciated!

Remove the inner fender liner, it will allow you to access the hardware on the back side. Hopefully you aren't hamfisted...

Keep in mind that in addition to the two studs w/nuts, the shields are also held on with double sided tape which has a good bit of adhesion. Pry carefully.

Excellent! Thank you Josh. It sounds like it might be worth my time as opposed to the dealer quote of about $300 to do it. Happen to know if the hardware is reusable?

Try sneaking some high strength dental floss under the edge and using it as a saw rather than prying.

Get back if it works and let us know.

Depends on your comfort level and whether you want to pas the liability off or not. The hardware will be reusable, the double sided tape will be trash though. It's fun to scrape and clean off too.
