ZWOEMBA,
do you mean this one?
I think it's done by Bertone and it's a one-off.
It's s/n: 41421

Yeah, that one. I've red a little article of it in a magazine, and I didn't see it before... What engine does it have?

That is a very beautiful 400. I like the white color too. I'm also interested to hear what information others have about this model.

The shape, I daresay, reminds me of an older generation rx-7. I admit, better looking(in my opinion) than the 400i that it's based on. Interesting one-off.

Special order for some Arab Prince and later owned by the Hilton Family. Then owned by a famous Dutch drug baron. In his trial the car collection of him was seized by Dutch government. Recently (about one-two years ago) auctioned off by governmental service Domeinen in Soesterberg. Shortly stayed at the Amsterdams Automuseum in Zwanenburg before it went back to the USA.

First time at FerrariForum since my trip to Monterey (more about that later!), so trying to catch up a little bit.

Anyway, DJ, the car was not made by Bertone, but by Michelotti. I saw the car two times, once here in Holland at De Domeinen (what Niels was talking about), and early this year at the Cavallino Classic in Florida.

I remember reading an article on this auction. It sounded like a great collection but several of the cars were badly neglected and went for prices well below market value.

That is correct, an if I remember correctly this has been an issue in debat as well. The cars were impounded for more than seven years and the defence argued that the government had neglected the cars so they dropped in value. This value was important in the defence case because the total sales would be deducted from a penalty of about DGL 28 million (about 13 milion Euros nowadays). Don't know how much have been actually have been paid but I believe this auction resulted in about DGL 2,5 million in sales. Not every lot was sold. There even was a Miura which did not have keys to go with it etc, etc. Have a cateloque of the auction somewhere where all s/n and cars are mentioned in.

Pix of the Meera I took at the Winter Park Concours d'Elegance (Florida) last October (this year's event is coming up next weekend).

Everytime I see that car the first thing I think of is a 1st generation Mazda RX-7.
