Very worrying indeed, brings back all the memories of May 1994 again. I hope he makes a full recovery but the prognosis at this stage does not sound very encouraging.

Hoping for the best - head injuries are horrible and it doesn't escalate.

I presume you are talking about The Ayrton Senna?

My wife, two friends, and I were fortunate to spend three days with him, Jean Todt, and Ross Brawn in the Ferrari garage in Montreal as guests of the Ferrari team.

He will always be the best F1 driver in my mind.

I wish him a speedy recovery.

Yes, specifically the few hours when he was in hospital and there was no clear information. A very clear memory of waiting for some good news of improvement which of course sadly did not come.

Understand he has undergone brain surgery now, so hoping for the best.

Brain surgery : Either 1) monitoring procedure 2) evacuation of blood/clot or 3) removal (partial) of skull to allow swelling to occur without compression or herniation ( brain death).

Doubt 1;
2 most likely but fear three.

Note that Grenoble sent for help to Paris and the neurologist went there- therefore he's not stable enough to move. I fear for the worst.

Agree with all- race drivers are truly a breed apart. Their biology is different.

Prayers to Schumi and his family.

I think Sebastian Vettel has said it best.

"This is a very sad night. Michael, this is the most important GP of your life, and you are going to win."

I'm praying for you, Schumi!

No real news today it seems, which I'll take as good news. Yesterday, he had another operation to remove a blood clot, and his condition is a little more stable but still very critical.

I believe in the power of prayer.
My thoughts and prayers are with Schumie and his family.
He provided us with many, many hours of enjoyable racing.
We should all wish him a speedy recovery.

A German journalist, disguised as a priest, has apparently entered the Grenoble hospital where Michael is and almost got all the way to Michael before detected and thrown out. If this is true, I would like to know the name of that journalist so I can refuse any purchase of any paper, magazine, TV channel or other media he might be working for, ever!

I am disgusted. Please, don't support the work of this despicable journalist, whoever he is. May he be blacklisted for ever and redeem himself by working for charity for the rest of his life. This is absolutely intolerable and should be taken to justice.
