It looks like he just took delivery with the plastic still on it! But on the other hand it is just a car. Cars get hit sometimes. I think if the driver/owner assumes the risk then he can also assume that he can repair it. A shame, though, such a beautiful car. That is probably a $40,000 repair even though it looks quite benign. Isn't that car all carbon fiber and plastic?

No, this car has not been delivered yet. Text on the truck is Italian, this will be in all likelihood close to or in Maranello. Looks like the toll both for the Autostrada.

I wonder if that makes it worse? The driver now has some serious explaining to do particularly if this is a factory test run or something related to that kind of activity. Fresh car, not sold, hit by a truck.

No problem then: dab of filler, spot of touch up paint, quick polish, pass it on to the new owner and hope he doesn't notice!

Best wishes, John

If everything in the world was like it was supposed to be, it would be a very different place....

I'm not sure I follow the damaged goods thing. It's a car still on factory test, still from an accouting point of view " work in progress". They are checking it to ensure it meets the specifications. Suppose a wheel is out of balance, or there is a scratch on the paintwork. They have to declare that? I don't think so. This car has a big scratch on the left rear wing and the left rear wheel is out of balance. poor workmanship perhaps, but not damaged goods.

Maybe it's just an elaborate mock up test bed platform and they're going to crush it anyway. Good riddance
