They are 250 LMs and that photo was supposed to convince the FIA that Ferrari was building the required 100 cars to have the type homologated as a GT car. In reality, the 250 LM was pretty close to being a 250P (pure racing car) with a roof on it. Running as prototypes, they were not always competitive, but a 250 LM from NART did win LeMans in 1965 when nearly all the prototypes, Ferrari and Ford, fell by the wayside.
Incidentally, all but the prototype had 275 engines, but Ferrari did not change the name because they were afraid it might compromise homologation.
