Yep, this is a well-known site here on FLife. Welcome here by the way!

Welcome Ollie

The site was new to me & I checked out the 360 section & was quite impressed. I could imagine a Ferrari enthusiast spending all day ( & longer ) in there.

They are 250 LMs and that photo was supposed to convince the FIA that Ferrari was building the required 100 cars to have the type homologated as a GT car. In reality, the 250 LM was pretty close to being a 250P (pure racing car) with a roof on it. Running as prototypes, they were not always competitive, but a 250 LM from NART did win LeMans in 1965 when nearly all the prototypes, Ferrari and Ford, fell by the wayside.

Incidentally, all but the prototype had 275 engines, but Ferrari did not change the name because they were afraid it might compromise homologation.

My favorite Ferrari.

That picture was right in your wheel house!

My favorite is still the F50 for almost the same reason.

Thanks guys. The car is a stunner. Absolutely beautiful. There seems to be a hint of the 250 in the 360 - subtle ones. I love the lines of the 360. Maybe I'm biased because I own one - the 360 - not the 250 (I wish).
