3M Paint Defender

Just saw a commercial for this spray on clear paint defender from 3M. The concept sounds good I have some skepticism about things on TV commercials that promise the world but deliver substantially less.

Here is the link ....

3M Auto: Products for People Who Love Cars

Would love to hear what you may think of this. Has anyone actually tried the product?

I'd like to know more about this as well. Is it widely available in the US?

It looks similar to the many plastidip products on the market. Search 'dip my ride' and 'dip your car' for additional colors and techniques. The more advanced offerings come in gallon buckets that you partner with power painter (Wagner as an example). Buy three cans if you're applying to your 360 and careful with the radiators up front-plastic them off so no spray gets to them. CAUTION: DO NOT apply to rear bumper. The one product I tried did not do well under high heat conditions.
Good luck, share results if you try it.

I was kinda hoping someone else would bite the bullet first. I am a bit gun shy. Maybe I could try in on my lawn mower.

I would love to hear some first hand experience with this product. Supposedly is good for a year plus depending on if it is left out or covered in a garage. Trying to decide whether or not to put the clear tape on my Black SA nose and mirrors. This might be an alternative and not so permanent.

I have an Acura MDX that am thinking of trying this on the front bumper / grill area. I want to wait for cooler weather though (I live in Arizona) and my garage exceeds 100 deg F. on most days and don't enjoy working in the heat if I can avoid it.
