Help choosing F430

New to Ferrari. I had an 07 430 bought recently but fell through. Looking at two cars and can't decide which one to purchase.

Both are 07 coupes red over beige interiors, Daytona seats, carbon fiber driving zones, etc....

The differences are:

Car 1 has 8000 miles, rear leather shelf, carbon fiber lower zone, carbon front splitter, carbon rear challenge rear section, carbon fiber steering wheel, Bose w subwoofer, capristo exhaust and built in radar

Car 2 has 5000 miles and carbon ceramic brakes as the main options
Both are the same price. What to do?

They're the same $$ for a reason. Share the selling URLs and you may get more detailed advice besides car 1.

Big fan of Ceramics and Capristo.

Need to see the two - lots of other stuff to consider.

Paint quality / chips / windshield / wheels etc.

Feel free to post the Schmitt car in the St Louis section and see what the other local members have to say.

Strongly suggest the Algar Ferrari.

Any specific reason you suggest the Algar Ferrari?

I like the Schmidt car better, of course need PPI. Curious why Doug prefers the Algar car.

So do I.

It's the dealer - not the car.

Not reputable? I was going to get an independent ppi, compression test and clutch tested. I'm liking the car because of all the extra carbon, exhaust and subwoofer.
More feedback about Schmitt would be appreciated.

Well those of us who live or have lived in St Louis that are car guys wouldn't touch it.

Who would do the PPI?

There isn't a service center in St Louis anymore and they wouldn't touch a Schmitt car when they had Ferrari service. The guys in Chicago are the next closest and pretty sure they feel the same way.

Just curious how many owners prior and how did it end up at Schmitt?

FYI Algar is not under the same management that it was previously.... Still same ( mostly) people but ownership has changed.

Where are they/ you getting the PPI done? Dan sends most of his cars to CarX muffler shop for the PPI.. I would be surprised if he let's the Ferrari service in STL do the PPI... He buys all for his cars thru the auctions, there is a reason the car sold thru the auction and not open market..

St. Louis doesn't have a Ferrari dealership at this time but some of the previous Ferrari techs are at GLB so that's where I was going to take it. (according to Schmitt)

He told me that the car was traded in. Didn't realize it was an auction car.

STL Motorsports doesn't have any proper SD equipment - the Maserati equipment doesn't work on Ferrari.

STL has taken a very hard stance if you aren't a retail customer from the past they won't touch a Ferrari.

Had to ask a favor to have them inspect the 612 for the guy who bought my 612.

I live 4 minutes from GLB - been taking cars there for years and good friends with the owners.

They do NOT have any SD equipment and the Ferrari Techs are still at STL working on Maser's Veyrons RR Bentley Lambo's etc.

GLB is a great place for older Ferrari's - they simply don't have the equipment to perform a PPI.
