I like it on a 308/328. I saw a 348 in prugna and it didn't quite work.

I think the name hurts the "image" of the color.

Today's version of Prugna is Vinaccia Claret. I think it looks fantastic; unless you see the car in the bright sun where it looks dark purple, it appears black in color.

I need an Aventador!

I hated it at first - now it's one of my favorite colors.

Come to think of it - it may have been because a guy in our local club was driving it ... which I am sure will have a good Prugna accounting once he comes across this thread.

Just the name alone suggests a car that will sit forever without selling. The vinaccia 458 though just sold at Scottsdale Ferrari, but probably because it also had race seats.

Very much a classic colour. I like it on older designs.

This is the only pic I have of a Prugna car.

Color code for Prugna on mine is 306/C and titled Prugna Metallic. 1985 308 GTSi QV 54573.

The color is sensitive to lighting conditions. In some situations it is just a darker red. With bright blue skies it shifts purpleish.

The vinacca claret, although not having seen it in person, appears to be much more like the od purple that was seen on 246 Dinos (I liked it).

By the way, yes, I do like Prugna. There is/was a Mondial coupe in central Illinois in Prugna.

I must admit that front shot of the Scud looks great in that color.

My 308gt4 was originally viola dino met. and repainted red before me but I wish it stayed purple its whole life.

Here's a 355 in it ( or something very close) that I have always liked:

Also a dino gt4 and Mondial:
