Prices

Sheehan has a beautiful 575 listed for sale, an 03 with 13K on the clock, racing seats, and all the goodies. The owner just authorized a price reduction to the mid 90s.

That's 360 money! Who'd of thought they'd be so low, and so quickly?

Crazy.

Who wants to predict when 458s will be there?

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

That's about right. A 2004 with 6k miles traded last March from Wynn/Penske at 99k. A 2003 would be worth 5-10 less.

You'd pay mid 90's for an 03 360?? Wow. That seems incredibly high to me.....and I'm a biased 360 owner. It even sounds a bit high for a 575. Maybe I'm just a cheap skate.

I thought the same thing about the 360 but I still see 575's well over 100k regularly.

Several 575s traded hands 15 months ago for $85-$95k. They actually firmed up a bit after that winter of 2010/2011. Still, there have been decent ones out there for sub $100k...

I didn't mean for an 03 per se, just for a top dollar 360, and obviously a Spider. I'm just pointing out that for the same money that would buy a 360, you can get a 575.

Although, that there are people willing to pay mid 90s for a 360 Spider is very nice in my book....

And they are still there at those dealers, still for sale.

Sport Auto in Summerfield, NC has two 575s for sale. Low miles in the low-mid 90s. I've driven the titanium car - very nice.

I decideded to buy the 2001 360 spider he had for sale. Very nice car, fairly priced. Steve is a true gentleman, and his mechanic Tom, is a true expert.

Highly recommended.

What did the 2001 360 Spider go for? I am trying to get actual transaction numbers when I put mine on the market.

D*mn you, David! Mine hasn't even arrived yet, I don't want to think about how much money I've lost already before the car has even been built!

As for Maranellos - it is hard to imagine better and bigger bang for the buck. They've been a bargain for a long time, particularly the 550's.

For me, personally, it's the ultimate future classic. If you can only have one car, want plenty of speed with good looks, the roar of a V12, reasonable practicality, a classic feel but enough mod cons, then the Maranello ticks all the boxes. If you buy one now and look after it, it is hard to imagine you'll go wrong.

Sorry Onno, I didn't mean to hit a nerve with that comment. Truth is, that's how we bought our Spider and how we plan to buy our 458.

I agree with your assessment, the 550/575 are the best Ferrari for the money right now.
