Fuel Stabilizer effects ?

I have several cars in which I use fuel stabilizer,
including all of my Ferrari cars.

I have no idea what is in these products (Primarily STABIL,
regular and marine), and no idea on the effect on the
engine when the car is "pushed" to run hard.

Do these products lower the fuel octane rating ?

Do they add to "knock ?"

Are there any long-term problems with continued use,
say for a period of years ?

What about reactions to ethanol ?

sea foam

i use sea foam,,with no bad side effects (short term)...works great,,also,,try FUEL ON. this stuff is absolutely amazing,, i run it in all ,my motorcycles,,(looks like your a yamaha guy,,tz 750..2 stroke Gp- bike i think ?) anyways,,i also use fuel on in the 328,,and im outrunning 350 z s,.FUEL ON.. i believe atomizes the gasoline some way,,and allows it to combust more efficiently.as well stabilizing..im not sure whether or not either changes the octane component...non of my machines sit for very long..year long...so i cant say if there are any long term issues..i just feel better ...running the sea foam every once in a while,,to keep carbs,,and fuel injection free and clear of any shitt that might be building up...i use the FUEL ON,..for performance,,and to make sure i always pass CA smog tests...my car will pass without it.,...but you never know if these prick testing places have uncalibrated equipment..!!! i just realized..a little while back,,that CA uses a small % of ethanol...i have heard that ethanol is bad for older cars...fuel lines and such...my 89 seems to have no fuel line issues...im hoping the small % of that shitt..isnt going to screw anything up in the future....
