Rockets & Ferrari's

I'm sitting here in Afghanistan watching videos of people carving the canyons in their Ferrari and ROCKETS are falling at my doorstep. So we have had two rockets and now we have the fast-movers doing fly-bys over our compound! The funny part of all this is, I am so numb to it it actually puts a smile on my face!!! And after all of this I will be home in October to find my own roads to make me smile even more... I just thought I would share how my morning started today. I am not complaining, this is my life and I love it. It has afforded me the ability to purchase my dream car and I wouldn't change a thing...

Greg- Keep your head down. My war was a lot shorter than yours, only about 40 days. Then I got to go home. Hard to believe that was over 20 years ago.

+1 Greg, amazing that you'd risk your life for a car. Wait, that makes complete sense. The Ferrari is something to live for - you have the passion!

My near war was almost 40 years ago - I was one of the last pilots not called to 'Nam.

Stay safe and post updates and pics for your friends here when you can.

Stay safe. I have a friend who just arrived in Afghanistan (Joe Seavey) and he'll be there for a year. Say "Hi" if you happen to bump into him.
