Loaner cars

I don't own a newer Ferrari, much less one that is under warranty. That being said, I recently took my BMW in for service and was given a beautiful BMW 328 convertible as a loaner. When I take my wife's lexus I for service, not only do we get a new Lexus at no charge, but they let me choose the model I want.

I got to thinking... As far as I know, Ferrari dealers in the US don't offer loaner cars for warranty work. What's up with that? Can anyone think of any other car maker that doesn't give loaner cars?

I understand that they can't very well loan out a new 458 when your car is in for service, but you would think that you would at least get a Maserati or a new fiat 500.

Well I know FOW used to offer to pick up and drop off your ferrari.... I don't think these guys are moving enough cars though to rationalize 100K + loaner cars for service visits. Also Fiat is marketing through Chrysler so there's not much chance of that happening either..... unless you wanted to get your viper serviced.

Current: 85' GTS QV
It's a simple process...... it's just complicated by human beings....

I agree, but will the dealerships even give you an impala from Hertz?

With the new 7 year warranty, it seems like Ferrari is trying to justify the drivability of their cars on a daily basis. If they want to make this claim, they should at least provide a loaner car.

Hertz rents Corvettes BTW. . That would be a suitable loaner.

It's a PIA taking my car in and having someone pick me up and driving me back!

The fiat thought works for me

My dealer still offers pick up and delivery.
I don't avail myself as I wouldn't want anyone climbing in or out of, nor driving mine without me there.
Pens in back pockets, buttons in jeans, scuffed bolsters, sills, etc etc.
I do make them drive me home after I drop mine though!!!
But I'd love a Scaglietti as a loaner anytime!

Loved my Vette, but it's become a me too car with little curb appeal.

Ya know, OH YOU DRIVE A CORVETTE, ME TOO.
