Video of Testarossa wheel change

Enjoy this short video of the original Testarossa wheels being swapped out for the 288 GTO wheels while parked in the paddock area of Laguna Seca raceway during Monterey Historics. Thanks Jimmy and Chris from Cavallo Motorsports.

For me, this was equivalent to throwing out the first pitch at the All-Star game!!! Bucket list...check!

Nice wheels! I see you're selling them already?

Yeah, I like the OEM ones just fine. The GTO wheels are so rare and impossible to find, I figure a 288 GTO owner should have them (for the right price).

Those are my boys! Carobu has beautiful 288 style wheels in 17" & 18" for the Testarossa also, I've always like they look.

Cool video.

Here would be a fun stat to find. How many owners ordered the single bolt option for the TR?

They came that way, like it or not, up until mid-way through the 1987 model year IIRC.

Another interesting note was that up until mid-way through the 1986 model year, the spline drive / single lug wheel was a metric measurement with possibly the most horrible tires ever (Michelin TRX). Thank god, my TR came with "regular" 16 inch wheels!!!

Reminds me of that scene from National Lampoon's Family Vacation where Chevy Chase's car has its hubcaps stolen while he's sitting at a red light. LOL. Anyways, congrats, you looked speed enough!
