You have to skip to 7:20 in the video. Sent to me by the guy that did the filming.

Incredible. I can't imagine risking my spider to such conditions.

You could have seen a 430, 612 and Daytona driving through something similar in southern Italy a couple of days ago!

Ferrari's: 360 Modena, 550 Maranello
Ex's: Dino 308 GT4, 612 Scaglietti
The Rest: Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, Porsche 911 2.7s, Porsche 911 3.2 Carerra, Ducati 916... and the Land Rovers

Our deepest crossing actually was as deep as the Aussie one but the water was mud coloured from the earth of the mountain sides. I was the last one to cross and I seriuosly doubt I will ever again see a 365 GTB and a 430 Spider in front of me ploughing through a mud stream sending cascades three meters up by the sides, that was kind of excentric driving manners..!

Which reminds me, on Monday both cars are getting a high pressure wash and a steam bath to get rid of the mud from the floods and the salt from the snow driving.

It just proves what a modern Ferrari AND a well sorted 40 year old Ferrari really are capable of doing - without any complaints what so ever! This trip is sinking in more and more and I'm happy I finally was able to accept the fine invitation.

Salve,

Serious is right Jimmy. It's one thing driving through such conditions in a Ferrari, and entirely different thing doing it in someone else's Ferrari, and completely unique when that 'someone else' is right behind you!!

Safe to say that the 'river crossing' raised the stress levels for all concerned. Still, nothing that a couple of good bottles of wine couldn't cure, later that evening .

The only way I see that happening is that he had no better choices.
