To use, or not to use?

Hi everyone. I don't own a Ferrari yet, but maybe next year I can consider a used 360 or 430. I have read that people use them only as "weekend cars". I would think that using them only two days a week would be detrimental? What do you think would be better for the car; using it a little everyday as a supermarket runner, or waiting all week to use it only on the weekends? -Bob.

Either of those two for a market run is not good. They need decent warmup and running room to keep them right. Except for current market price where the 360 is lower, the 430 would be a better selection in terms of easier maintenance, technology, and power.

One to two times a week is not bad for them IF used properly for each run [see above].

+1

This is true for any car. The drive train needs to come up to temperature way more often than not. It is very bad for a car over time to take short trips that never even raise the oil temp.
I take my car out at least once a week for a minimum of 30 minutes highway if not an hour. Also, let the oil get up to temp (not just the coolant) before taking the revs up.
It sure is fun.....Steve
