The New F150....

Hi guys, I have just watched the 50 minute live unveiling of the new Ferrari F150 via streaming video online. It was in Italian but they had an English female translator.

F150 : that's the name of the new car which will compete in this year's Formula 1 World Championship. The choice of name stems from Ferrari's desire to pay tribute to this year's one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Unification of Italy. The placement of the "Tricolore" Italian flag as part of the car livery will therefore have even more significance in 2011. "Ferrari is an expression of Italian excellence, talent and creativity," declared President Luca di Montezemolo. "All the men and women who put so much effort and passion into their work at Maranello share the pride and responsibility of representing our country around the world and it is in this spirit that we chose to dedicate this car to an event that is so important for the whole of Italy."

Let's hope the 'Tricolore' on the rear wing is the only view the other drivers get of the F150 in 2011.

Thanks for the pics and info.

Yeah lets hope that will be the case for the majority of races this year

If I remember correctly it was mid last year when Ferrari announced and unveiled the new logo that would be used as from January 2011 for the race cars, the team clothing and official F1 merchandise apparel.

Wow: what a change to the rear and front.

Not to side track, but really looking fwd to the new V4s they'll be creating soon, even if turbo. Not a big fan of turbo.

When I saw the thread title my first thought was"why on earth is a pickup truck thread in the racing section and why would a new F150 even rate a thread at all".....I get it now but I'm not so sure they chose a good name for the car.

Funnily enough I thought the very same thing. Which is surprising considering in Ireland you can't even buy such a pick up...
