Stolen 348 spider

VIN# ZFFRG43A2S0099567. Those of you that visit the other forum may recognize the heartbroken owner as 348Tony of Dallas TX USA. I thought it important to post here as we have a more "international" representation. Seems like a professional job and will likely show up on someones radar hopefully as a complete car and not just parts.

Keep a lookout please.

Has the information and SN number been passed along to FML, FCA, Ferrari Owners Club Canada, and Mike Sheehan?

I passed along your recommendation.

The thing that make this just a little more unbearable. This is a replacement for a 348 he totaled just a few months after he purchased it ?last summer?

Car was found behind a semi local McDonalds fairly beaten up. The FChatters are currently devising a conspiracy theory blaming the owner for the theft and doing everything short of calling the local District Attorney to have him arrested.

Just another reason I hang out here.

If I haven't said it recently....Thanks Andrew.

Well I actually read the whole thing. I wasn't going to but a post stating he'd found the car caught my eye.

On the one hand, it is indeed movie-dribble and sadly an example of the common fare served up at "that other site".

However, on the other hand, there's more holes in that stolen car story than an entire mountain of swiss cheese. A couple of points in there are worth remembering.

And yes, thanks again Andrew, I am sure gald we don't read that kind of stuff over here.

A thread on f-chat goes south!? Wanna be lawyers and investigators condemning a person with only some of the facts!?

GET right out of town.... how can this be? I'm shocked..... no really I am..... no really.........................

Bubba makes a good point though about going and retrieving the car and getting it back home.... might have been something I would have done. Easy to armchair quarterback when it isn't your car though. For reference, I too have taken comfort in thinking my garage was safe in exactly the same manner.... on occasion.... I don't do that anymore though...

Had a Ford Ranger stolen out of the garage once [girlfriends] with my NEW Toyota Celica parked beside it and WITH THE KEYS STILL In the ignition of my car: They stole the Ranger instead. Real shock. Went into what I thought was a closed garage for work and notice a missing truck and the door open. Called to g'friend and she came out and we just looked at the spot without a word.

They were good!!!!! at that theft.

Couple days later, truck found, minus the steering column. Seems, that column was in HIGH DEMAND and the replacement took months. The dealers stated the part was difficult to get and thus the theft, most likely... but they left that Celica, keys and all...freaky.

i also keep my keys in the cars in my garage. if they are bold enough to break into my house to steal my car, if they don't get shot, they can have them. they are just cars and they are insured. positive note: rob will probably make the OP a mod!!

I agree: Much better to just steal intact than ruin a perfectly good car. They would still be charged with stealing no matter how easy it were. Stealing is just that, and method is not the owners fault unless left in open view to the public, but even then negligence is not without reimbursement.

I found the 348 pics. From the address posted I noticed the street view had the 348 everywhere. No WONDER it's on video.

I'm finding it Soooo difficult to mind my own business over there. An INCREDIBLE amount of distain for anything close to morally acceptable behavior. I'm actually starting to really dislike a few posters.

They keep walking past major hurdles like "motive" just to be a part of the problem.

I'm hoping a few of them get "owned" by the facts.
