Key FOB question

Took my 360 out for a spin today and it took a few tries before my FOB would work to allow me to start the car. Then, after a brief stop for lunch, it again did not work the first few tries to unlock my car. It's been cold in NJ for awhile and my garage stays around 50 + degrees in the wintertime. The car is 10 years old. Do I need a new FOB? Is there a way to fix these? Do I have to go through Ferrari to get a new one? Please help!! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!

Bob,

Thats a great question. I too have a 360, its an '03. Is your key fob in the leather pouch? I have concerns that if the key fob fails we are stranded (albeit in a very nice car) but stranded none-the-less.

I wonder if the battery needs to be or can be replaced in these???

anyone else know???

There is a battery in the FOB that can be had at your local radio shack. I've also found sometimes the contacts in the FOB get corroded and cause trouble.

Thanks guys!! The FOB came apart quite easily. Used the screwdriver on my Swiss Army knife to remove the small screw on the back. My contact was not making full contact at all times with the battery. Bent it ever so slightly and it now works every time. I'm still changing out the battery though. Thanks again!!
