Protecting drivers seat bolster

Recently, I noticed the first signs of rubbing on the piping of my Spiders seat. So I immediately began playing Twister every time I get in and out. It doesn't bother me that much, although with a tuxedo on it was very awkward to say the least.

I have the OEM seat covers, was preventing this type of wear their intended purpose? Besides covers and moving the electric seat up and back each time, are there any other methods you prefer?

I suppose I could just let them wear and tell Celeste "But honey, look at them! I HAVE to swap them with new Daytona's...."

The factory seat covers ain't gonna help one bit and it looks goofy when you're riding around with them on. Don't get them wet either...

My advice to owners was: 'It's a side bolster, not a carnival slide.'

Sit-and-Spin has it's disadvantages as well since your whole weight is twisting on a softer part of the leather.

Anything can be restored to original condition if it needs to and a Ferrari that has a little wear on it looks nicer than one that is too perfect.

Get in and out the best you can. You can't see it when you're in the seat and those who worry too much ain't enjoying their cars.
