That's the perfect starter Ferrari. Rust on the doors would be an issue but with an Arizona car I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be a good car as long as it is clean and doesn't look abused. Check the air conditioning and the windows. If they work buy it.

Suggest you read the buyers guide: http://www.ferrarilife.com/library/guides.php

Check the chassis for rust, make sure all the electricals work, have a leakdown test done on the engine, just when the cambelts were last changed.

Absolutely. Could be a great car but it does need to be gone over thoroughly by a specialist. There are a number of things that can be over looked and will be heart breaking.

A higher mileage car never bothers me if it's clean and documented.

thanks all. Car is on consignment at an independent shop that I also use. Major serivce, with belts and all engine seals at 70k (76k now). Air conditioning compressor replaced a year or so back, exhaust system also replaced. Same shop has done work on it for years and has extensive records which they share with me. Air does work, and at least the driver window works, not yet checked the other one.
how about clutch? also read something about the Marelli ignition being hard to replace if it fails.

The cam belts are good for 30k miles or 3 years, which ever comes first so WHEN the belts were changed is as important as at what mileage.

Can you run them longer? Probably as many do a 5 year instead of 3....but the factory says 3 and very bad things happen if a belt breaks.
