An Observation

While I was driving home uphill on a two or three mile straight stretch of road, in front of me was a newer Porsche. The speed limit is 50 mph. The wing on this car went up and down as I followed him.

It looked like a bird which did not quite make it.

Oh, well! It was only a Porsche.

I thought the wing only deployed above 70 mph

Can't you switch it off? I thought you could, but I know little about Porsches.

You must be very law abiding Boxer! The speed limit was 50. Your assumption of a 70mph wing deployment may well be correct indeed!

A few weeks ago, we were behind a Carrera, and it's wing extended right around 52-54 MPH. But it did not flap like a bird, it stayed deployed until the car came to a near stop.

Perhaps he was manually letting the wing go up and down? The R8 has this button for up/down, not sure if P has the same. I never think about it but I probably look like an idiot if the wing goes up/down/up/down at 30mph LOL

I think he likes you Bart :-) Yes, theres a button in the 911 to raise/lower the spoiler, normally it self deploys at 70 but I guess some like to slow off a little by popping it up and down manually from time to time (kind of sad I guess)

The 550 is not nicknamed 'Shark' for nothing.
