If she complains when it comes tell her..."count your blessings. A new mistress was coming. Would you have preffered a flesh and blood over a steel and rubber one".

Get a personalised number plate now. Transfer it to the 458. Hope she doesn't notice...

Feb will be 40 years. She's seen all my tricks. Not into jewelry, so I think maybe a good vacation somewhere where she wants to go, then when she gets home, the car is there.

Telling her that it's a new wife or the car wouldn't be my smartest move. She's commented that if we ever broke up, I wouldn't have to worry about a divorce. Draw your own conclusions about that one.

Here's my universal strategy:

Admit nothing
Deny everything
Make counter allegations

For all situations where this doesn't work, diamonds will.

Good luck.

You can try what I did.

Had car delivered to my office on an early Sunday afternoon.

Drove it home and walked in saying someone had left something at my office and I wanted her opinion.

She walked out, saw it, and asked for a ride.

That was it!

Great Car

Talked with my next door neighbor who is here for some racing: He's a racer.

while he was busy shooting pidgeons [BB Gun] away from my solar panels -- GREAT for me!! Damn flying poop machines.

He was in Italy just recently and drove the Italia around Fiorano and says it is MUCH more awsome than the 430. Way over even the Scud.

That's saying a lot to me.

SO: ART, take her to a restaurant, like here: http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/277910/

Gcalo,

It elementary:

Take the wife to Cavallino (where Pigeon is on the menu), serve with a beautiful Barolo, and she'll accept the car as a matter of course.

Or, the cheap way out is to shoot a pigeon on a solar panel, cook it in a nice nebbiolo sauce. Diamond tennis bracelet on the side. Same effect.

This all now makes sense but the big question is:

Will Art finally change his logon name?

If she has put up with you for 40 years a car isn't going to change anything. Besides, I suspect it has been long enough since you have done this she is expecting something anyway.
