The new season hasn't started yet, it will next week at which point I'm sure they'll test it.

They claim that was a user submitted video, I don't buy it, but it is still funny as hell. They should figure out how to make that show world wide with the cast they have. An American version with that annoying guy from MTV will suck.

Any particular reason why? They tend to give their cars glowing reviews. Hell, all three of the hosts have called the F430 "the best car ever made"...

Yes and no, they are also not afraid to speak their mind and Clarkson clearly likes the Gallardo over the F430 and will consistently talk about the "stupid flappy paddles" which he hates.

To be honest, I'm not sure any of the three are Ferrari guys.

James - not really into fast cars at all
Richard - Porsche guy
Jeremy - not really married to any one marquee

Clarkson has history with Ferrari.
I thought that James May bought one last year.

I don't quite agree Andrew. Jeremy positively drools over anything Aston Martin, so he's definitely biased towards them. He is also biased against Porsches. But he has also given glowing reviews of Ferrari. The F355 was one of his favourites of all time (and he owned one for quite some time). He also made a great documentary on Ferrari in 1992. Well, documentary, it's more like a TopGear special episode. I've got it on DVD transferred from video, quite a nice thing to watch. Also - Jeremy was a proclaimed, huge, fan of the 550 and 575.

He's not a Ferrari fan without an criticism, but he is definitely a fan.

I agree Onno, and if I recall correctly he stated in the 360 CS vs. 911 test a few years back that he would try to put aside his dislike for 911's and the fact that he thought Ferrari was a "scaled down version of God".

Mind you if you trawl through enough TG episodes you'll probably find JC singing the praises and cursing every manufacturer brand if not every model...

barry.

With Clarkson's sense of humor, he's liable to test the 458 wearing a head to toe fire suit.

Do we really need a review of that car?

Would any one here say no to a 458 purchase if Jeremy Clarkson said he did not like the car?

Who needs a review of any Ferrari!

Just get in and drive the damn thing!

Besides what do the Brits know? Thy put the steering wheel on the wrong side any ways!

I'd be more inclined to say no to cars that he raves about, such as the Aston, or the Gallardo.

wrong side of the road you say :-)

trust me he will love the 458 - when he reviewed the E60 BMW M5 he said the F430 is "probably the best car he had ever driven"

Topgear will do a good review hopefully !!!!!!

To answer the OP's question, Top Gear will review the 458 next week (along with the Mercedes SLS AMG):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...Series_Fifteen

I'm surprised (and a bit disappointed) that they're doing one of their "versus" reviews where they review two cars at the same time and pit their pros and cons against each other. When they reviewed the F430, it was a single-piece event and they had all the time in the world to (rightfully) focus on the star car. Why would they then dilute their 458 review? A new Ferrari mid engine V8 is a huge event..
