Gerald Rousch 1942-2010

Carol's brother Howard, and I have shown our cars together at various car shows in Maryland... Her husband, Gerald passed away. Here is the official FCA letter:

"To all FCA members,

It is with the deepest regret that I must tell you of the passing of Gerald Roush this Friday morning. Gerald and his wife Carol have for decades been among our most ardent and dedicated Club members and Ferraristi of the highest order. As the creators and publishers of the Ferrari Market Letter, they have been an institution the likes of which our Ferrari family has never known before. We have lost a great friend, enthusiast, historian and Ferrari expert.

A memorial service for Gerald is scheduled for Saturday, May 30 at 11 AM. The service will be held at the Wages Funeral Home, 3705 Highway 78 West, Snellville, GA 30039. In fulfillment of Gerald's wishes, the family has requested that contributions to the American Heart Association be made in lieu of flowers.

Gerald lived life to the fullest. He was truly one of our all-time greats. He will be sorely missed."

Al DeLauro

My condolences to all Roush family members, but most of all to Carol. Met Gerald personally in Maranello 2 years ago. 3 month ago he sended me a personally signed copy of his wondeful publication on the Ferrari Daytona.

It makes me think again about how fast time flies, how we tend to run around for many unimportant things instead of planning to enjoy our Ferrari's on futures FLED's. We should do these things TODAY not tommorrow. Suddenly we turn our head around and realize that the best people to gather together for such common interest are maybe already gone....

I did not get a chance to meet him and all indications are my life is worse for it. The Ferrari community will miss his practically unlimited contributions.

Rest in peace, Gerald.

His name is as iconic as that of Ferrari.

Very sad to hear of the passing of a legend.

Honestly, I do not know this gentleman nor have I ever heard of him. Yet, such person of magnitude and love have supported Ferrari. Life is a fleeting moment and all things must pass. Way too young to move on yet. Ferrari community has lost a wonderful supporter. RIP. w/ smiles Jimmy
