Floor Mats

Why do so many folks keep the plastic on their mats? Yeah, I know its to keep them clean.... I don't plan on eating ice cream in a Ferrari, you know people are going to gawk and look in the windows when its parked and the plastic on the mats look tacky...

How much are new mats, $300-500 tops? For that price, I'd just replace them every few years if slightly soiled bothers you.

I say enjoy the entire car. THere are two jackets just tossed in the back seat of the 456 right now. People, I believe, enjoy owners who look like they use their cars and not have aunt jenny's plastic covers all over the sofa......sort of makes them imagine themselves being a real person in that spot. But more honestly, it's a ready place for the coats.

This is what I mean... they leave the original plastic protector on the mats.

Like they're afraid to get them dirty, so they leave them on.

I suspect those are temporary protectors placed there by dealers after having the car cleaned up a bit.
