Amelia Island Concour d'Elegance picture thread

Thought I would start an Amelia Island Concours picture thread, just to break it up a little bit. I went down there with wetpet and had a great time. Got a chance to see some incredible cars and meet some fascinating people.

Here are some of the shots from the concours on Sunday. I took nearly 1000 pictures and would have done more if I hadn't concentrated on doing some video and running out of memory.

regards

ken

With over 250 cars on the field to work with, its not hard to have missed a few. I know there are a number of cars that I didn't see or photograph.

Nice pictures! But what on earth is that burgundy 'Batmobile' on pics 2 & 3? Love the elongated drop-shape...

A horse is a horse, of course, of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course. That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister F.

funny story. Ken and i were taking pics and interviewing the VP of marketing for spyker off in a quiet corner when this thing drove by unexpectedly. I had never seen it before. Then a gt40 drove by and several others. amazing show. specially seeing them driving around which they did a lot of. Don't see that much at some shows.

You got that right

That is one of the things I really like about Amelia, the cars driving around the place. 2 years ago I saw a guy with a 1907 something, giving rides back and forth, up the concours parade route.

Of the thousand plus shots I took in 2008, the best one ended up being the last one I took, the towing of the Gray Wolf back to the trailer.

David, that BM w/ 25 is too mean looking. Look at my Abarth,...isn't she cute and dainty ? But she is so naughty. Hard to believe such a tiny car can be so loud in sound, uncomfortable as hell, but so much fun to drive,...sensation is blasting away but you are merely shattering at less than 60mph !!!
Sorry, did not mean to hijack this thread. Now back to the original show. w/ smiles Jimmy
